AMD Turion II M500 was crap at running FTB (I had, HP DV6 laptop with that thing, real pain), so don't expect much from M300.

My FTB is actually set to use 3 GB but 2 Gigs is more than enough. I've got loads of chunkloaders, machines and stuff and it all peaks at 1,80 GB. So don't worry about RAM, if you don't want to get slowdowns and hiccups during your recording be sure to record to separate HDD!

Yeah, 15$ for a game like this is a bit too much. I got mine through Humble Bundle for like 4$. I recommend checking Humble Store from time to time, it was for 3,99$ last time I've seen it there.

It could be stressful if those textures were like 2048x2048 or higher and HDD was 5400RPM with crappy read/writes. I'm actually running my MC from HDD [7200RPM Seagate Barracuda, fairly powerful little beast]. Tried to run it from my system SSD [Samsung 840 Series] and there was no difference...
