This works as a down elevator, but turtles will NOT move upwards with a player on them. They just stop and wait for you to get off. Guude was very disappointed, but he made an downavator with them anyway.

The only solution to this I've found is to have the cover exposed to direct sunlight. Fun fact: The terrain UNDER the cover seems to get the correct light level, as though the covers let the light pass through. And yet, i'm pretty sure mobs can spawn on covers. Worst of all possible combinations...

factorization is more of a 'look what I can do' mod for me, i like building long chains of machines with it. And that inventory manager block is sweet

Factorization has its own power gen via solar turbines, redpower has blutricity. I don't see the problem you see tbh.

In mindcrack v8, what world gen was added? Is this new version using the new multifarm stuff from forestry, with the addition of galena and changes to apatite gen? Anything else? TIA
