Without enchants I believe it is the same but if you put efficiency 5 on it that adds another 100 mj of power and with in unbreaking 3 it doesn't use a lot of power

For the issue with the ingots not being used to craft items make sure that they are the same ingots as the one on the pattern

Click on the G beside where it says cheat mode then try

The mod you are trying to add is probably for the wrong version of minecraft or it conflicts with other mods

You may be in adventure mode try to see if you can switch back to survival mode

I can confirm that deep storage units do work with storage buses and I have used them in my world

In the new versions of mfr the deep storage units do not have an interface and can accept from any side and you should be able to pull out from any side

I also encountered this problem and found that you have to use a vanilla crafting table when crafting Ars Magica 2 items to unlock the entries for the compendium so try re crafting everything in a vanilla crafting table and see if that unlocks the entries for the compendium

Without soul shards and since you don't want to use mfr the best way would have to be a vanilla spawner which you can move with portal guns and the mfr portaspawner. The options are unfortuneatly limited without soul shards
