I use 3GB myself :). Anyway, if you still have low fps after the world is done rendering, check some options and see if there`s anything you had lowered before. If none of those solutions are satisfying, i would recommend adding optifine to the modpack Sitting in a meeting ;)

They`ve really changed it like that? Thats not funny! In the 1.4.7 packs (dont know the BC version) you can power a centrifuge, a squeezer and a carpenter of one electrical engine (1 MJ/t). It`s slow, but it works :D Sitting in a meeting ;)

Actually, more RAM wont let you do more work at the same time. Its just more space to have ongoing work easily accessible, so you wont have to go to the storage (HDD) and waste time searching for the things you need. Nothing really wrong with your explanation, but i don`t like misunderstandings...

Another simple way is to use redpower tubes. They will always send items to the closest relevant spot and never spits out items. However, if you use one of the newest pack, that isn`t an option Sitting in a meeting ;)

After all, a better computer wont stop fps drops. Since it`s java and multiple mods thats not designed to work together, you will always have fps drops Sitting in a meeting ;)
