I don't think the visibility of the blocks matters. The problem is when you strip mine you move into 1 direction more or less quickly so new chunks get generated. This leads into new blocks to spread on by the taint. Your CPU won't be happy about that. :P But I have the same experience with the...

How would I go about cleaning a cave from taint? Or prevent it from spreading in at all? I am in early game right now and mining in a cave full of taint is impossible. Can`t see ressources(all hidden by the taint) and the constant damage to me + the enemies is too much to handle in this early...

Can`t you make the taint spread into the portal so it will corrupt the twilight forest too? Maybe spawn in tainted blocks around the portal if that is somehow possible. Probably not without a lot of effort(or at all) but it would make a nice effect.

Found an interesting bug with "Manganese Dust", when you smelt it in an Alloy Furnace instead of "Manganese Ingots" you get "Iron Ingots". Happened on V. 1.03.

Found an pretty annoying bug: When you put a Lava Crystal(Blood Magic mod) into an furnace the game crashes and won't let you load your map anymore. (Anyone knows a fix? Is There a way to remove the furnace?)
