I haven't had it take more then 2gb in SSP. You did make sure to remove all the non SMP mods? I will tweak this over the next few days as I am currently at work, but i have tomorrow and tuesday off. Both ore types are spawned in. I had to use Custom Ore Gen to do so. Keep in mind that the TFC ores cannot be mined with non TFC tools. Which means that you can't use the Quarry to mine TFC ores, but it will mine all the others fine. I'm doing research into how to maybe do this.
