i have similar problem but i manage to do it by making a 9x9 dark room around a sinister node then put down some cursed earth 4x4 around the node.

it still works, you need to add piercing on the spellshape so it will be projectile,pierce, zone,AoE , gravity, dig. it will be a more expensive however you can mitigate by reducing gravity to 2x either than 3x. anyway, have the fury spell recipe has been fixed? last time i played it on 1.2...

you can gamble for one using mfr villager by buying random creature mfr pokeball, i manage to snag few cows, sheeps and a cat this way.

so i manage to capture and cure a zombie villager, now i can solve world hunge

it has leather level defense sadly, however with bark belt, seeping shoes, and witch hat, it can block 4 strikes from anything with no damage at all(including rapiers). you can recharge the "barks" it by standing on grass.

you can wear witch robe, creeper will ignore you, you can do the same with zombies and skelies with necromancer robe. or inject yourself with ocelot dna with advance genetic.

if you have am2 installed, you can do earth guardian summoning ritual beside the warded block, it will break the blocks.

you can't get boss mob phylactery without spawning it in creative which include guardians. Most mobs without boss health bar could be captured though. if you want strong mobs i'd recommends hellcows(it have high defense and attack value) or minoshroom(120 hp minibos) if twilight forrest installed

i haven't tested it on mob yet, but astral barrier should stop any form of magic which possibly it will stop those light mages attacking creeper. is ice nuclear reactor setup like this still viable to use on ic2 experimental?
