items can go in the back of the barrel as well, did you try two storage buses? one on top configured to store the item and one on the back or side that has no config, should work.

it looks to me, like you are being trolled, as for the java crash, i would have to guess that it was a problem about java not getting the resources it needed

I got the same log, I removed Biomes o plenty and it launched fine
