Now that I think about it you must be 1.2x as you said you built an obelisk. Just place it and put either vinteum dust or the liquid stuff (etherium?) in it. You can build some pillars around it and/or surround it with a 3x3 (hollow in the center where the kbelisk is) chalk "circle."
I don't use them and I really don't get the appeal of almost any of them. They're pretty much the comic sans of the Minecraft World. I can't even bring myself to watch a let's play with a texture pack installed.
I only branch mine when I run out of cobblestone, which is a lot, as I really just go caving otherwise. I pretty much always have more iron, coal, lapis, etc than I do cobblestone.
I think I'd enjoy RotaryCraft but the one time I delved into it the lag killed it for me. I'm buying more RAM this week and I'll give it another chance then.
I just feel like a lot of the mods kinda cancel each other out.. Am I really going to spend my limited play time working towards an axe of the stream when I can ha e an infinitely repairable tico lumber axe on day two? So I won't play with tico and tc4 installed eg.
I only have one or two big...
I usually play with only one or two content mods at a time plus some others like Iron Chests, NEI and Inventory Tweaks and IMHO, if you were only playing with Thaumcraft you wouldn't really even need the ore doubling aspect of it.
If we're talking just content mods then my favorite is Railcraft. A bit more challenging if I don't have Buildcraft installed but still doable. Can I put a steam engine right up flush to a boiler? Hmmm... Not sure. Railctaft just really feels to me like it fits into the Minecraft world...
Nope. Genuinely sorry if I came off that way.
At work and just trying to make the hours pass. ;)
Anyway, I like AlanEsh's idea about still trying to do it legit but still using the aqueous accumulator to make it failsafe with chunkloading stuff.
It's 2014 and almost half of the people on the planet do not have flushing toilets... And in SSP Minecraft I am the only being on the entire planet with a water pipe in my home.
And not all of us play the same way and some of us feel fighting skeletal archers and zombies dressed like a...
I agree the Nether is much more hostile with Natura and BoP installed but, even with just vanilla generation, it does seem like the lava moves much faster now than it used to and they have at least added the bat things.
