Bug: GL error? not sure what that means. it is causing MASSIVE lag. Memory connection is overburdened, immediately after starting

I loaded a world. It started fine, then I went in to change video settings, then went back and I'm in a black void. Not the void, just in black nothingness... not sure what the deal is.
