I also had my world hanging, with multiple errors occurring after some time, but MC did not crash. The update checker errors were among them, but removing it did not help.

Running Pathfinder 1.0.3. Just tried to create the dimension with the coal block dimlet. Used a digit as the first dimlet to stop that previously-mentioned bug from occurring, but the game crashed when teleporting there and when trying to reload thereafter.
