    Why won't my this laser/assembly table work?

    As above... The conduit leading to the lasers from the redstone cell isn't set to output from the energy cell. Whack the conduit with a crescent hammer / omni wrench until it turns orange, and you should be good to go.

    Preferred lifespan for production bees?

    Thanks for the info, everyone; that confirms my suspicions. I'm swimming in DNA and voiding drones at the moment, so I may shoot for Longest on most of my bees and keep a few at Shortest for the drones. Thanks again!

    I've managed to breed/inoculate Nocturnal, Flyer, Cave, and Fast into my bees and am now wondering if there's a preferred lifespan for bees intended to be used just for their products? I understand the benefits of Shortest lifespan with High fertility for mutation, but does lifespan effect...

    Is there a way to avoid constant rolling machine drain?

    I find a TE Energy Cell between power generation and the hungry machines from Forestry and Railcraft works quite well. Set the energy cell to require a redstone signal, slap a lever on it, and you have a simple on/off switch for that section of your machine room...

    Crates replacement?

    Check out the Barrels from Factorization. Standard ones store 64x64, upgraded ones are... a lot bigger.
