The ores changed becouse Ars Magica 2 had a big update which updated the ore textures too :)

Actually the falling pigs can NOT lag a server at all. It's fully client side which can be disabled in configs. iChun made a tweet about the server "lagging": https://twitter.com/ohaiiChun/status/416165049929973760
