I'm not 100% sure, but there is a gate command called 'has work' and that could, in theory, work. Simply putting 'has work' -> 'red pipe wire signal' and connecting the red pipe wire to the engines could toggle the engines to be on and off.

When EE3 is officially released, it will come with more config files. This probably means that the modpack creators will disable such Minium Stone recipes to avoid this and similar exploits, so that we can ALL enjoy a balanced game. (note: I hope they mess around with the configs D:)

I recommend checking the vanilla mcf post of optifine and checking which forge version is compatible with your optifine, then upgrading/downgrading to that forge version. That fixes my problems.
