    I tried a fresh instance of 2.3.5 and the crash issue doesn't happen on NEW worlds loading multiple times. It appears to be specific to my save (which really sucks....     I guess you are right; the first mob was the reaper and the second which came out as soon as I hit a block of stone was a mountain mob 70 HP. Lost all my stuff immediately spawned not anywhere near there. Game over.

    I am so used to machines and tech mods that I'd never really taken the time to understand any of the magic packs.
