    Liquiducts and Steam Compression

I'm asking about the throughput of a liquiduct. Boiler output is well established and available on the RC wiki. Ok, I may be over-outputting from one boiler then. I'll test with fewer outputs.

Peat vs. Other Forms of Farming

Because people play on servers with limited maps, or enjoy the challenge of miniaturization, or both.

    Liquiducts and Steam Compression

So I've got a thorny problem and couldn't find any good data for it. Couldn't figure out a way to measure it myself, either. Basically I have numerous boilers - mix of LP and HP - and I need to figure out how many faces of the boiler a single liquiduct can compress (e.g. I have X faces leading...

This is a thing I am going to do now.

Yea, that's what I've been doing. Ah well.

    Tree Breeding (Spoilers)

Does anyone know of a quick reference for biome humidity/temperature data? Apart from plopping down an apiary?

    Strategy for Rocky Bees

This. Even fullering the line with a recessive high-drone like Imperial can lead to annoying side effects like additional unwanted products clogging up automation.

    GregTech's changes and Ore Gen

Shocking Revelation: some people want things that you don't. This will be the case throughout your life. It would be a good idea to get used to that fact, and stop marveling over it.

An idea to prevent Nether lava exploitation

This is basically the solution I'm running on any servers where I have a say at the moment. It'll be easier to enforce when we have plugins available to do block sweeps per dimension and remove rogue pumps.

Random Thread about Researched based tech mod (moders please steel our ideas)

We did something like this on an old tekkit server via admin 'dungeonmastering' - basically the admins would enable blocks to be placed after players had 'funded' the research via diamonds in a series of central chests. Once FTB has a more robust plugin system this should be eminently possible...

New Forestry 2.0 Farm Blocks aare a PITA

Yea, I think spatial flexibility is a tertiary but still relevant consideration (see BC tanks). That said, the insane cost of RC tanks relative to XyCraft will ensure that no amount of space consolidation will make them the choice du jour if you're looking purely at efficiency.

New Forestry 2.0 Farm Blocks aare a PITA

Neither of which are 'effectively' free - you can't try to make a mathematical argument and then ignore material costs. Things cost what they cost. BC tanks are cumbersome to use and cost more than XyCraft tanks in fundamental resources, in part because XyCraft objects are currently so cheap and...

New Forestry 2.0 Farm Blocks aare a PITA

Actually storing of fluids is possible in Vanilla, via iron buckets in a chest. This isn't precisely equivalent to the applications that have developed as mods have expanded, but it presents a baseline for why railcraft tanks are balanced and multitanks are not. BC tanks are the first step...

New Forestry 2.0 Farm Blocks aare a PITA

This has gotten off topic enough, but the reason I think this is fair game where a debug or convenience recipe would not be is Soaryn's had plenty of time to articulate that these items are placeholders, on camera and on mic, and has in fact spent a great deal of time explaining why he thinks...

New Forestry 2.0 Farm Blocks aare a PITA

This is such a load of crap I don't even know where to begin. XyCraft, as has been demo'd on forgecraft, is currently OP. Suggesting that the fact that it's current state as articulated is somehow immune from judgement is so wrong it's basically thoughtcrime.

Is the pattern for Obsidian from EE3 intended

True, that's a more valid consideration I hadn't though of. That said, the research gating on the TC items is in stark contrast to the gating on a minium stone, which is to say it is gated at all.
