You don't need to update the server to run forge 355, as long as its on your FTB, it doesnt seem to make a difference. However like DeadoolTS said, it seems to be disabled automatically, so press M and enable it.

I have the same problem as Stigandr, using version 0.2.1, i put optifine in the FTBBETAA/instMods folder, and it does not work. And my version 0.2.1 is in a completely different folder from my previous version 0.1.1 .

I really don't care for the change either. For me, even if i connect them to a machine(or atleast forestry machines) they do not work at all. No pumping animation, no power to the machine.
