RF Void -- consume infinite RF!

Hey, I'll take the attention! Even if I hadn't been paying any. ;) Sounds good, glad you've got that covered.

RF Void -- consume infinite RF!

No, I'd actually forgotten this existed. I don't relish updating my build environment for 1.7.10, either, but there might not be a need to do so -- I think the creative energy cell will just accept power if you set it to do so. That sounds like it'd be best served by an addon to OpenComputers...

Except, popular as this misconception may be, he never actually said it.

I can't speak to whatever may be in the pastebin (I don't have time at the moment to read it), but those two "errors" are both completely normal. FML just isn't bothering to exempt bits of itself from the checks.

    Sounds reasonable.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

I don't use the FTB launcher that often. Heck, for that matter, it's been a couple of weeks since the last time I launched Minecraft. I'd still like to keep up to date, though. (and let me also state that this thread has been getting progressively less useful for that purpose lately)

I'm not sure this is the appropriate venue to discuss it, and it doesn't matter until and unless I actually write it and release it. For what it's worth, it's simple enough that if I get a day or so to work on it, it should be ready.

Er...? And this matters why, exactly, when you can pull infinite amounts of the same liquid back out? What I'm saying is that, from what I've seen, folks tend to build themselves setups that result in effectively-infinite quantities of some fluids -- and those setups, with all the blocks in...

I think that's a bit unnecessarily cynical. My storage systems tend to work under the same rules @rhn just mentioned (limit to a medium-sized buffer) because I have a dislike of large numbers, but I'm pretty sure that's not something average people care about. That said, I'm kind of torn on...

The max-size railcraft tank is 9x8x9, if memory serves, though they do stack vertically. Nonetheless, a single max-size steel tank will be... 20,736 buckets, or almost exactly two orders of magnitude smaller. You'd need a hundred of them to match sizes. Yes, confusing buckets and millibuckets...

What, making a personal request? Wanting there to be a way to tell things apart other than WAILA telling you "this one's from that mod, the other's from the other"? Of course, I have no idea how far she's willing to push this. Honestly, in her place, I wouldn't have bothered even to mention it.

    Recent Events Discussion (RED) Thread

Eh, we were both posting at the same time. Let me just move my statement down here, then: On further reading, I don't believe there's any kind of legal issue here. It seems to be just about making a personal request on her part that things not be *exactly identical to RedPower*. Which seems...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

I think that's a perfect example of stuff that should go on the RED thread, so I put it there.

IANAL, but I'm not sure Eloraam has anything here. Unless the art or the code are copied, there's no copyright infringement, and I don't believe she can claim trademark rights. Am I wrong? Edit: On further reading, I don't believe that's even an issue here. It seems to be just about making a...

Son, you're coming here, posting your thing, getting no reply because *nobody knows*, and then insisting. It's the insisting that we're really complaining about. If you didn't get a reply the first time, it's clearly not something any of the habitual readers here knows anything about. It's...

There are two activities being discussed as part of world generation: terrain generation, and biome placement. In the absence of a global terrain generation override (which is what ATG is, primarily), biomes can themselves decide what their terrain should generally look like -- for instance...

If my fps triple when I'm in a machine's GUI...

...well, yeah, 'cause the Esc menu is just another GUI, after all (disregarding that, in SSP, it also pauses the game). I imagine renderers get much rarer update ticks while a GUI is up, and it's more than likely particles also get reduced, and possibly other things I can't think of. Some of...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

The tinker tools, as long as they don't already have a right-click ability (so tools other than swords), will try to place an ItemBlock located in the next slot to the right unless they're in the first slot of your hotbar -- in which case, they'll use what's in the last slot. They do not care...

Request Suggest mods for creation here

I recall from... my 1.2.5 days, maybe? A mod that did something similar -- as long as you had a map in your inventory that covered the current area it would show that on your HUD. Sadly, I don't recall what mod it was, and I never actually used that feature.
