You can add a tinkers faucet and casting table to get stuff out of the crucible. Check the recipes, they have changed.

You can smelt the grout in a crucible but you need a tinkers faucet and casting table. Look up the recipes, they are different to normal.

Could I just generate a new miners delight disc?

Updated the pack to 1.0. Most tools had incorrect data and fixed when put in a crafting bench except my pick. Will this cause a problem? Reloaded miners delight to continue and all the poor ores are replaced by air. Is that what's meant to happen?

Make sure you leave enough Ram for the operating system. I know OSX requires about 2GB to run comfortably. Not sure about Windows. Java will take as much RAM as you allow it. If it runs out it will used Virtual Ram which is dependant on bus speeds and free hard disk space/read write times etc...

I have an old 2.4Ghz macbook with 4GB of Ram - 2GB allocated to FTBlauncher and it runs fine.
