Actually it is likely due to running Sonic Ether's Shaders. From what I have seen on other forums, shaders do not like multithreading.

Meh...I have 32GB of RAM so I am not concerned. I think I have also figured out the texture errors. It is Optifines multi-threading.

I have! It runs fine, but at around 10GB of RAM being used on a regular basis. I get some texture errors, but I got those vanilla.
