    It didn't really you just have to make the portal to alfheim to upgrade your book to get the recipe.

    Sorry too tell you this but the thermalilly has been nerfed to all hell. So I would recommend using the endoflames and hydroangeas to start off and it won't hurt to spam your botania area with dayblooms and nightshades as well.

    Balance or Tedium

    Regarding the original post the people that build the modpacks for ftb really don't have that much creative freedom when they are creating the kitchen sink packs. A really good example would be Ic2 vs Thermal Expansion; they are two extremely similar mods that do the majority of the same things...

    I'm kind of new to the modding scene but I have a lot experience with java but I have no artistic talent what so ever. Does anybody have any tips to where I can start learning how to make some textures ?
