I kinda don't really see much point in Cubic Chunks myself. Maybe I read it wrong, but if with cubic chunks minecraft won't load too many upwards either, doesn't that defeat the purpose of big builds? I mean, you aren't going to really see the whole creation at once as chunks will be missing...

Why do you have to change to 1.6 as soon as it comes out? It won't be going away at all, you can even still play 1.5 when FTB updates to 1.6 (Gasp!). 1.6 brings cool things, but there is a helluva lot to do in 1.5 (especially if you're starting new) so go for that and once you get bored in 1.5...

An item without a valid destination will jam the relay. Drop a chest down at the end of the system so anything without a valid destination will end up here. Even better, drop an enderchest down at the end that links back to the original input so that you can teach the relay a lesson by having...

Try breaking then replacing the filter? Otherwise the only other thing I can think of for a quick (and crappy) fix is to filter to a chest and then take from there with the sorter

This. This right here. I can understand people discussing about OP ways and what they prefer but I don't think the option should be removed if it is "OP". Let someone play the way they want :)
