GT4, GT5, and GT6 are very different from each other. If you want to start playing GT I recommend waiting a bit for GT6 to be complete, and watching some Youtube videos on the basics of GT5-6. Gregtech is in a bit of a mess right now and I don't think it will recover til 1.8.

Everything, but the server is easy. You don't want the server lagging out in the middle of a big youtuber match. You also want to make it easy for youtubers to connect. The hard part about the server is anticipate everything. (What if something goes wrong).

There are actually a lot of communities of modders/pluginers who consider mods antithetical and plugins functional. The minecraft community is just the other way around. (Along with a lot more communities, there really is no right way of saying it).

The only reason to revive this would be if some 1k+ modded youtubers are playing it. This type of pack would most likely get stuck in the mud if there were no one to help get it out to the public.

This thread is kinda dead. If you want you could pick it up, but this thread did achieve a general acceptance a modded UHC will not really implement mods all that well. Though a spin-off might work.
