Using leadstone energy cells seem kind of ridiculous and the EU nodes take a bunch of diamond and ender pearls so kinda rough getting those at the start. I cant see why the make of the pack would not have included something to transport energy easily. Either that or BC needs to fix their pipes...

Maybe, but I'm doing pretty well in my current world. Figured out how to keep mobs out of my base even through an invasion. Now I just need to figure out how to not die constantly when not in my base and all will be good. I think I have also found a way to mine and keep the mobs at bay as well...

can we update and keep our current world or is it recommended to start a new one?

You can change how often and what mobs spawn as infernals. The mod is very configurable which is why I suggested it. It could be set so that about one mob or so out of a horde would be infernal. This would mix things up a bit more like it does with the speedy zombies. Also The hordes now — well...
