I had to make thaumium plates to make my thaumium armor. It took me a while to figure it out because it wasn't in the thauminomicon or nei.

I have gtech on my server. I can't check atm but I believe Thaumium ingots have "Ma?" as their primary element. Also thaumcraft has metal transfusion/alchemy so mixing iron and precantio can yield pretty much any metal.
