    Rules of Creeper explosions?

According to the Manaseer Monocole (and the creepers themselves) the flower has a range of about 21x21. It doesn't have much range in the vertical direction though, only about 3 blocks or so. Your best bet is to put it directly below the Cursed Earth.

    Rules of Creeper explosions?

A Tigerseye flower will keep creepers from exploding. It has a pretty decent range and doesn't require any mana. I put a floating variant under my mob farm to prevent the random explosions caused by (presumably) Enderminies.

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

You can use teleposers from Blood Magic to teleport to your (mobile) frame quarry and back, using only one teleposition focus. Put the teleposition focus in the teleposer on your frame quarry, then trigger it with a wireless redstone signal while standing on top of the teleposer at your base...

    Agrarian 'Derp' Skies

My first derp was building out too far without making sure my home was well lit. My second derp was composting my last sapling, only to realize my tree farm managed to grow a big tree that touched my silkworm tree. I ended up with a lot of string. I'm having a lot of trouble finding any ancient...

    [Query] Controllable Light Level

Have a look at the Illuminator block from Thermal Expansion. You can set it to emit a light level based on redstone signal strength.

    Applied Energistics Help!

Put an ME Interface block on top of an IC² electric furnace with an ejector upgrade. The furnace will eject the smoothstone upwards as soon as it finishes cooking, giving you a very compact smelting solution. My fully upgraded electric furnace cooks complicated recipes in a jiffy, since it...

Carminite reactor - what is the point of this?

The Carminite Reactor is a miniature version of the experiment that caused the destruction at the top of the tower and summoned the big ghast. It's a plot device. ;)

Chicken_Bones has been busy, introducing Forge MultiPart!

I know a lot of popular designs depend on water behaving as it does now, but I secretly hope they find a way to allow water and other fluids to exist in the same spot as a multipart block. Underwater levers, buttons, signs, trap doors,... Water flowing through fences or iron grates,...

I didn't think this was possible

That's only for pickaxes and basic tools. The hammer seems to take the average mining speed of the materials used in the head and both plates. A cobalt hammer head and paper plates gave me a mining speed of 5, for example. The other advanced tools probably use a similar method, but testing is...

    The Multiblocks!

Getting blocks to work with Forge Multipart is a job for the mod creators, so as more and more mods update their stuff, they'll start to become compatible.

What is this structure and how do I get in it.

The entrance will most likely be in the nearest Dark Forest. It looks like some ruined tunnels.

    [Ultimate] "Can't innoculate certain bees"?

Actually, I had no trouble inoculating swarmer bees. (With a little [-] symbol) I usually inject them with max fertility to get as many drones as needed to extract the species serum.

    Mutator Configs?

UberBreeders are still perfectly viable in 1.5.2. While you do end up with a swarmer princess, the chance of her disappearing is low enough to allow you to breed her up to the level you want and then isolate her species genes. I rushed my rocky princess all the way up to corroded, inoculated...

[Help] AE autocrafting with the alloy smelter

Have the interface output the items into a smaller pipe system that sorts and transports the items into the correct sides. The crafting system doesn't care where it puts the items, it just waits until it receives the finished product. I've had AE crafting recipes that just put the items in a...

Trashcan or Delete Mode from NEI?

The biggest advantage the trash can has over the other disposal options is that it looks like a cute little trash can.

    Angry Enderman

From the DartCraft thread on the Minecraft forums: After actually testing this; I can confirm that Ender Tots just swim around in water until they die. They don't even attempt to get out. The parents don't teleport away from water either, although they will get out to come find you.

    Draining partial ingots.

To drain out the last bits of metal, just keep smelting nuggets or oreberries until you have a full ingot. I'm not sure it is even possible to have half a nugget left, as it seems the smeltery measures its contents in nuggets. This would explain why you can't smelt chunks, since a chunk would be...

    diamond drill charging

If you have the kinetic generator, you only need a very light version of the best battery and you'll never have to recharge again. Ever. In my experience, at least. The kinetic generator generates energy based on distance travelled, but doesn't account for the walk assist. It's a self-contained...

    All-purpose Autocrafting factory setup problems

I just realized how! Silly me for not thinking of it earlier. So yeah, you can easily have it fill a chest with any number of any item you want to have available at any time ever. Just have a look at the various import and export bus thingies. Combined with xycraft crafting you can automate...

    All-purpose Autocrafting factory setup problems

Applied Energistics can craft any item and the intermediate items as long as you define the proper recipes, including any recipes that require machines from other mods. The downside is that it only crafts items upon request, you can't really tell it to keep churning out sticks forever or keep...
