When I played on 1.4.7 I used several HP steam boilers running on fuel from a steves cart tree farm hooked up to industrial steam engines. I haven't tried to generate much at all in my new world yet though so I'm going to stay tuned to see :)

Thanks everyone. I've been enjoying tinkers construct, especially loving the hammer and lumber axe. I've played with buildcraft and TE in the past and like them. glad to see they're still around. I need to get into AE and MFR.

In the unleashed mod pack, what mod adds the "armor" tab above the inventory?

I've just started playing unleashed after a hiatus for the last 5 or 6 months. I see that Redpower is gone, and there are some new mods like Tinkers Contruct and MFR. I think thaumcraft has been updated too. There are so many mods in this pack that I won't be able to get into all of them...

Yeah you just have to keep researching. As you get closer to having your research complete on something the description will be English and it can give you some clues.

Yeah, I usually play on my laptop offline, but I tried with a wireless connection and it still did it. I'll try again with a hard wire connection just to make sure.

Is the entire portal mod banned? Because they have some other portals that aren't guns that you can make. I think aerial faith plates are from the portal mod too so if the whole mod is disabled then that wont work. Another option might be arcane levitators if portals and faith plates are...
