What I want to build for my base, is a combination of the Steampunk Bdubs has, the Magic Docm has, and the awesome factory style Arkas has. I hate the torch spam all over my base, and how utterly disorganized it is at the moment.

It overflows but never spills. I just dumped a BUNCH of stuff in with the right aspects to get Nitor, though I ended up with WAAAAAAAAY too many of them. That's part of the reason for my Flux problem atm :x

I personally like spamming the portal turrets from the portal mod :P They're effective against pretty much anything due to their ANNOYING as hell knockback and nice range. Lately though, I decided to lay out around 3-5 stacks of torches around my base, so I don't get many mob spawns at night...

Get a crucible, and have either netherrack 2 blocks down with fire right beneath it, or lava underneath it. Then, fill it with a bucket of water. After you see the water in it bubbling, throw as much random stuff in as you can, and have it be a variety. Bones, Wool, Redstone, Netherrack, Cobble...

You could go into the mystcraft config and find somewhere where it says something like instability=true or something, and change the true to false.
