:( In NEI it appears you can make steel somehow. I tried smelting coal but no effect. Also where does it tell you the tool forge recipe? I can find it in NEI but no the books. It is the version of Mighty Smelting I have.

'Mighty Smelting' mentions other alloy combinations besides what is listed in the book. However test world experimentation and google searches are yielding me nothing on these 'secret' recipes. Do they exist yet?

With cans for each liquid, some Bibliocraft shelves, and viewer glass you could make a vending machine. Add in CC and you could make it dispense the can of your choice.

Is something other than TE altering the diamond spawn rate?

It is more space efficient on the go when picking up nasty liquids such as Sludge and Sewage. Early on both of those can be useful and jump starting MFR related tasks. Or if no MFR, you can drain that pool of lava on the surface for early geothermal power.

I dug into this and every hallway has at least one if not more of these spots. I have a stack of diamond already without getting through half of this complex.

I'm having issues with my TC smeltery. The GUI is not present at all. I'll post a picture of my build. I have moved the controller from that bottom row to the second one next to the glass. Edit: The Controller needs to be next to the lava tanks. In game guide was not specific about this.

Illuminators, which are also TE, only require hardened glass, silver and nether quartz. They can be died any color so they blend in really well to most decorative blocks and walls. Plus they have lots of redstone setting if you want to eventually get fancy.
