    No conductive pipes

    TIL. Thanks. :) Guess it was an outdated belief that came from the BC pipe era where your pipes had to be on top or stuff would go spraying everywhere.

    Magic farm 2 death messages

    Perhaps she's actually still alive, because it's her death messages that are questionable! *bum bum buuummmm* *thunderclap*

    No conductive pipes

    Hmmm, did they change the ejection mechanics of the quarry? I thought the "receiving inventory" always had to be on top of it. Either way, rotating that setup 90* camera-wise would achieve the same effect.

    Sorting and stuffs

    It's definitely a ways more difficult to understand than Itemducts or Factorization Routers, but if you take the time to watch a few Mod Spotlights (cough DW20 cough) you can get the general idea. As for your questions: 1+4. My sorting system is a hybridization of Itemducts and Factorization...

    Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

    I tried this out in Creative, and noticed a few things: In general, it looks like the snowballs they throw don't "appear" to be fatal. However, when two or more Blizzs get in a fight with one another, and there are cows caught in the crossfire - cows DO die from Blizz fire. I'll do some more...

    Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

    So, anyone happen to have some good suggestions on how to protect farm animals from Blizzs? I'm living in a snow biome and it looks like I have to completely seal up any cattle I have since Blizzs seem to love to commit genocide on them if there's even the slightest access.

    Unsupported Direwolf 20: 1.6.4 {PUBLIC BETA}

    As others have posted, you have two options to fix this: 1. Use MCEdit or another world-editing tool to manually delete all ducts/conduits from your house. 2. Build a "Terrain Smasher" and take it around putting it against each pipe and have it smash the pipe.

    Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

    Just something I was thinking about while at work that would be a nice addition: Placing 1 Opaque Liquiduct/Itemduct in a shapeless crafting with one piece of Hardened Glass = Viewable Liquiduct/Itemduct. There are some scenarios where I'd like to upgrade my cheaper opaque system to a viewable...

    Example of generating early game power using DW20 1.6.4 pack

    I'm definitely going to try and set up at least the tree farm part of this when I get home. I haven't used MFR before but this looks so simple that I can't see a reason not to try it.

    Unsupported Direwolf 20: 1.6.4 {PUBLIC BETA}

    For your issue (mainly the second one) - is this after you've applied a pneumatic servo? With the Direwolf20 1.0.4 update (Thermal Expansion b9e) - you have to make a pneumatic servo and "attach" it to a pipe that you want to use the GUI on. In version b8, you could just access the GUI without...

    Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

    I realized my problem. I need to add a servo to my "supplier chest" point so that I can set it to "no redstone required". In version b8, the "withdraw" mode was default to 'always', but now in b9 the "withdraw" mode is default to "requires redstone".

    Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

    I just updated (DW20 pack) and updating first is fine. All the old piping will show as disconnected squares in your build - just take them down, put them in your crafting window and you will get the new ones. Biggest problem im noticing in b9e is that itemducts dont seem to be working at all.

    Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

    Thanks - although it would figure I would ask this question last night - and then this morning I wake up to "Direwolf20 pack updated to TE3 b9e". BRB going to play Mega Millions. :)

    Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

    Question: I'm trying to do filtering with the itemducts in the Direwolf20 pack and I can't seem to make the servos attach to them. DW20 pack is currently running b8, is filtering not in that version? It's not clear from the website. Thanks.

    Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

    Hey All, So I'm playing the DW20 1.6.4 pack which has both CC and BC, but I'm wondering what other "relatively early game" automated mining systems exist in this pack besides turtles and quarries? (Since I seem to use those every single world I play). I'd like to try some of the other systems...

    I Need more Michael Jackons!

    The last build I did was with railcraft boilers which can be scaled and are rather potent once you get them running. The downside is that you need a large reserve of biofuel because the boiler will eat 100x more biofuel per michael jackson until it gets warmed up, and then it will run about...

    [Mindcrack] Items not going into correct barrels through pneumatic tubes

    More specifically - Pneumatic tubes can insert into the bottom of barrels, but only for the first stack. As soon as the barrel tries to roll over to "1x64+1" - then you can only Tube into the top. Pneumatic tubes can only ever withdraw from the bottom.

    Help With Applied Energistics

    As others have said, make sure you have plenty of Quartz and plenty of redstone before considering a large AE network. I've burned through several stacks of redstone just getting one ME Drive rack configured. Almost every step of making a disk takes 2-4 redstone, and ME cable takes 2 redstone...
