    Multiple AE Networks

I wasn't trying to prove the answers wrong, I was trying to understand the reasons why Kirin set up a separate processing network. A single sentence response didn't explain much. And hey, eventually they presented me with a good reason - splitting the network makes it so you don't have to shut...

    Multiple AE Networks

That's a valid point. Adding on to a network is pretty organic, though - I haven't noticed any hiccups. I suppose if I wanted to move my controller and drives around, I'd need to stop my processing. That said, why integrate fabricators with an ME network when you have access to the MAC? I can...

New player.. where to go next?

You've been using waterproof pipes - that's good. Look in NEI for conductive pipes. Those move around energy from engines the same way waterproof pipes move liquids. Just make sure to hook your engines up to wooden conductive pipes before connecting those to stone or gold conductive pipes, and...

    Multiple AE Networks

You could just preformat a 1k cell with all the ores and their various intermediaries, stick it in a drive, and you'd never have your processing system interfere with your longer term storage.

    Multiple AE Networks

What's stopping you from just using your main network for processing, though? Set up export buses for your ores on the relevant machines with import buses on the outputs and let it rip. I don't really see the difference between storing ores on cells in one network versus cells in another, as...

New player.. where to go next?

Solar arrays are horrendously inefficient, and not really worth the effort, even if you're in full on easy mode. They're really only useful as reasonably portable end game free energy generators. Geothermal generators, however, and even moreso their cousins the thermal generator and magmatic...

    Multiple AE Networks

Has anyone come up with a reason to have multiple networks?

AE - Level emitters, ME Interface, ARRGH!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that tesseracts are essentially an inventory that immediately ejects items to the other side. Teleport pipes behave like actual pipes, I believe.

Light sources that don't melt ice?

Stick a redpower lamp beneath a water block - presto, unfreezing water.

    Ridiculous amount of wisps

There could also be a wisp spawner nearby. The obsidian altars with the ring of totems around them have a wisp spawner underneath the chest in the center.

Light sources that don't melt ice?

You can also use Xychorium Ice to keep adjacent ice blocks frozen no matter what. I use it in the thermopile array powering the RP machines in my factory.

    AE External Processing Paralellism

You actually don't need a relay between the interface and the router - the interface should place materials directly into the adjacent inventory. You also don't need a chest between the output router and the import bus - the bus will suck up any products far faster than you can make them as long...

    Thermionic Fabricator Automation

That's extremely helpful. Thanks. I'll just use a router with a machine filter to keep the top slot stocked with glass, and that should do the trick.

AE - Level emitters, ME Interface, ARRGH!

Do logistics pipes interact with each other through tesseracts? Based on my understanding of how tesseracts work, I imagine that the pipes would treat the tesseract as an inventory, not a pipe, which means that two LP networks hooked up to a tesseract would still be two networks. You could...

    Thermionic Fabricator Automation

So I'm getting set to create a couple multiblock farms, and I'd like to be able to mass produce the blocks with AE. Most of the recipes are straightforward, but the electron tubes are looking a bit tricky. Specifically, I have no idea how you're supposed to automate the Thermionic Fabricator...

    AE & Multiple Input Processes

Actually, I just had a funny thought - a stone golem should be able to take whatever's leftover inside an interface placed on top of the blast furnace and insert it into the bottom slot of the blast furnace, as long as the marker block is placed underneath it. I'll have to test that out when I...

    AE & Multiple Input Processes

I'm really not seeing the advantages of this system over a single diamond pipe and a tesseract pair on the steel/tungstensteel furnace. I guess it uses fewer interfaces, but I'm not that starved for quartz. And for what it's worth, I already have level emitters maintaining two stacks of steel...

    AE & Multiple Input Processes

Read the post you quoted again. Doing that will cause the same problem as using a router to distribute the dusts - inevitably there will come times when I'm trying to craft steel, but the furnace(s) will be full of something else, forcing me to pull out the offending dust and put at least a bar...

    AE & Multiple Input Processes

Yeah, only it's not necessary to use emerald pipes, since the interface shouldn't have anything in it not used for the crafting recipe at hand. A wooden pipe is doing the job just fine. As for the diamond pipe/tesseract solution, yeah, it seems like that's probably the best way to go. I did...

    AE & Multiple Input Processes

Yeah, the sorting machine approach really isn't any different than the diamond pipe one, only it requires blutricity and forces me to paint tubes and route them around to the bottom of the blast furnace, instead of just sticking a tesseract underneath the furnace and calling it good. And yeah...
