I've seen this happen in a few of the YouTube LP'ers' series that I watch. Specifically, I remember iJevin had chunks that just randomly moved and swap locations. It sounds like that's what happened to you as well.

There are ways around this...I'd have to find a way to incorporate skyblock-style tools. For example, you'd always have dirt unless you're unlucky enough to spawn in an ocean, and then you'd just restart. You could always sieve dirt to get rubber tree seeds. As for ores, there's a mod...

Botania (not Botana) is all about flowers and nature and such...shouldn't you let the flowers be outside where they can breathe out their oxygen and replenish the world, instead of hoarding them all to yourself inside a little brick hovel where they'll always wonder what's beyond the walls...

I actually watched part of his Mekanism series a week or two ago to figure out 4x and 5x ore processing even though I stopped at 3x. His vids are pretty good. For the Botania stuff, I haven't watched it yet as I know enough to be dangerous to myself. :eek:
