Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

That... would be the smart thing to do... yes... *facepalm* Which I guess begs the second question: Does snow trigger the piezo modifier?

Problem Woot Mob Trap + Reliquary Bat Wings

I don't need more than eight or nine, actually, just to get a few of Reliquary items that need them. Bats are just such an immense pain to kill by hand that I wanted to do it the lazy way. XD And the Woot farm has definitely worked for every other mob I've tried it with as far as Reliquary...

    The Requester Processing System

Felt like sharing this because it's easily the most complicated thing I've built in Minecraft. I absolutely adore Refined Storage, and this represents my attempt to push it to it's logical limit in some ways. The heart of the Requester Processing System is this (currently ugly) beast: A...

Drat. My solar panel is on a mountaintop so if I don't cover it in glass, it gets covered in snow... XD

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Environmental Tech's Piezo Modifiers are hard to test... If I put a layer of clear glass over the solar panel, will the piezo modifier still work, or does the rain have to hit the panel directly?

Problem Woot Mob Trap + Reliquary Bat Wings

It's a tier 4 farm with mass 3, beheading 3, rate 3, and xp 1. I'm spending 9krf/t killing bats and getting nothing out of it, basically. :)

Problem Woot Mob Trap + Reliquary Bat Wings

Playing FTB Beyond. Finally managed the annoying task of hitting a bat with a mob prism, and hooked it up to my almost-fully-upgraded Woot mobtrap. Examining the mobtrap with One Probe indicates that it "knows" the bat wing drop. However, ~1500 bat kills later I haven't gotten a single bat...

    How Slow ARE Bees?!

Thanks for the advice, guys. I ended up mostly ignoring bees; just too much work, and now that I have a quarry and a tier 4 ET solar panel, there aren't a whole lot of resources I would bother to use bees to generate. That trick with self-feeding with the EnderIO conduit is clever, I didn't...

    How Slow ARE Bees?!

Thanks for the help, glad to know it's not bugged out at least. Oh good lord. I just looked at the requirements for the alveary. You need two hundred and sixteen royal jelly? I don't think beekeeping is for me...

    How Slow ARE Bees?!

Update: Built a bee house, also, and finally started seeing some honeycombs. I did end up getting one from the apiary, but even with an impregnated frame the apiary seems to be much slower than the bee house...

    How Slow ARE Bees?!

JEI's Bee Products section says that forest bees have a base 30% chance to produce a honeycomb. If that's 30% per lifespan, then I've been unlucky but holy wow bees are slow. If that's 30% per time the apiary flashes yellow and the lifespan ticks down, then something is seriously wrong.

    How Slow ARE Bees?!

Hi, everyone. New here, relatively new to FtB in general. Trying to get started with Forestry's beekeeping; I'm playing FtB Beyond with no changes except the script fixes by Booker the Geek. I have an apiary, I grabbed a random forest princess and forest drone and threw them in for a queen...
