Forum threads do NOT tell you what a majority of the community cares about. They tell you what the majority of the people in that specific thread care about. And the people that will show up on forum threads will fall into , constructive criticism because they want whatever it is to be useful to...
And if the client was only for minecraft that might make sense. But Curse doesn't just support minecraft mods. They support about 20 different games worth of mods. Have 1 application with optional game plugins makes way more sense. I like that I will eventually be able to put almost all my mods...
I will admit, it was quite funny watching the shenanigans pakratt went to to get the netherwart in darkness and the tulip with just enough light... but its a bit beyond the average player :p
I am a bit confused, to get Nitor wart you need Nether wart and orange tulip. Netherwart needs full darknees, orange tulip needs light, they have to be one block apart for mutation. This seems a bit... off.

AS2 won't be available till I get a couple major issues resolved.
Considering I am the support... nope. Mod authors can set the dependencies (most do) and the client autodownloads. They can also set known incompatibilities, and the client will warn you if you are installing to mods that have a conflict.
I won't add fastcraft to my packs. Its does things I am unsure of, and I am not willing to include it by default. It wouldn't matter which launcher it was on.
