i whould say if you haven't changed a config file then make a backup of your world and afterwards delete the config file. Then do a force update in the launcher and try again.

With those reactions you expect an normal answer??? It might be me, but if you are looking for help you better start acting polite ;) If you check your both screenshots you should be able to figure out the problem you have. The error is atleast pretty clear about it.

Do you have an intel integrated graphicscard? It looks like a driver issue (wich is intel known for).

copy and paste them on the server, aftwards change the worldname in the server.properties to match the name of your world(map)folder

Does the download bar move at all or just sits there doing nothing? If it moves but just doesn't complete then your connection is to slow (or a problem in the connection).

just unstall the java you have and download an install the newest version. This should add it to the PATH manually. ATM the pc thinks you have no java installed cause it doesn't know where to look. Removing and reinstalling is the easiest if you don't know where to find the PATH.

All characters and accounts are saved inside the worldfolder of that world, if the person can't access the LAN server then you haver to check your whitelist.txt in the main server folder.

in the launcher next to recommended there is a V, if you press this one you can select 1.1.0 and play on the server :)

Keep in mind, only use java 6 if your on a MAC, with windows and most *Nix systems java 6 will cause more errors then it solves.
