The point again for those still confused is that open beta for ftb means the version number for the pack is 1.0.x. 1 meaning it is a beta pack and the .0 mean it is a open beta. Where as open betas for game devs is a trial run for server testing and\or balancing. X being the patch number.

It actually doesn't matter the version number they are on only that when they say they are on beta now that mean 1.x not some dev company beta access thing. It mean while they where doing the testing the version went from 0.x to 1.x. The testing status hasn't really changed other then updating...

Alpha and Beta in FTB packs refer to the version of the pack. Like 1.x or 2.x. If they are saying that they are testing in beta now it means the version went from 1. to 2. or something like that. I found the post way back from Jaded..rofl.

It will most likely be add to Revelation and direwolf ones but the expert pack has been planned and set for a while now. Added any mod in now will just make the development time longer.

As posted earlier in the thread they usually do not post a mod list until it is released.

My understanding was that the contract was for them to run the FTB community on their service and the new launcher. Not for ownership of ftb.
