Why not use the filler + item tesseract + energy tesseract? Just plop it down, wait 10~20 seconds (assuming you have all the blocks ready), then reset it down again. Assuming you have all the materials needed, making the wall with a filler shouldn't take you more than 10~20 minutes.

This. Without a jetpack to begin with, it's hard to travel far distances because you run the risk of dying, etc. I'm slowly going up the Thermal Expansion tech tree, in hopes of getting the machinery necessary to get bees going. Once I have bees, I can get emeralds and I won't be worried...

It's probably one of the mods I removed. I removed IC2, Nuclear Control, Compact Solars, Advanced SOlars, Advanced Power Management, Chargepads, MFFS, MFFS_Cal, Mystcraft, and Equivalent Exchange 3. My guess is that the steel recipe belongs to one of them if it worked for you. No worries...

That's interesting. I've never encountered such problems before. But I think this is likely circumvented by my setup where it auto-reboots (like you said) itself once a day (turtle users who use the default excavate script hates this lol).

Yup, nothing happens. I've removed all ic2 mods, ee3 and mystcraft. Nothing else. Not sure why this is happening.

What are you using? iron ingot, iron ore, pulverized iron? I tried it and it doesnt seem to give me any steel. It may be an IC2 thing or one of those related mods cause nothing happens for me as I've removed those mods. Sorry, I can't help you there cause I've never used MFFS myself. Always...
