How much you paid for the TV matters very little. You could have bought a 30hz 1080p TV with a ton of features(which drove the cost up) What brand and model is it? And don't just give me specs of the TV off the box. The manufacturers often achieve those specs through trickery.

How did you configure the inputs? Did you put in an window input and select the game window?

CPU is...very mediocre. GPU is about on par with modern Intel integrated. So okay for MC, but no shaders. RAM, if you are careful it should be fine.

I use OBS for recording/streaming, mainly because of the ability to use encoding other then x264(CPU encoding on an i3 is just...blegh. VCE or QuickSync is so much better.) Editing...Windows Movie Maker I guess. I mainly just stream though.
