It's a little late, but as promised, a quick video on my Altar in my LP series. Shows how I fit my Well of Suffering beneath it and the mob stuff below that. Hope it helps anyone having trouble with Altar design ideas.

I believe you're correct, when socketing them regen master ritual stone ends up right below, so that'd be four down. When in doubt, there's always creative where you can test your builds. I've had to do that with altar design countless times.

I /just/ did my T3 in my LP videos, with 28 Self Sac runes I went from 200 lp to 760 lp per finger prick.

That's exactly the advice I just gave in my videos, it's much much easier to start big and fill in than grow out.

If it makes you feel any better, the alchemy portion of the mod is my weakness too. I know enough to get the demon summoning components, but that's it. I'll need to invest some time into it myself.

The ritual of the feathered knife or well of suffering will fit inside the regen ritual. Way made it so they're slotted to fit inside just fine. As for the alter, I build my T5 I believe...two blocks above the master ritual stone of the well of suffering. This ends up putting my altar...

I can confirm the multiple items stacking when piped into the altar. I honestly liked that, feature or bug, because when I was to the point of automation of slates...doing stacks at a time was icing on the cake.

You can use TE Itemducts as well with alters for automatic slates / bucket etc creation. As another idea for any other dabblers, I use it to make stacks of slates at a time.

You can use fluiducts and other liquid transports. But, it moves LP very very very slowly without the fluid speed upgrade runes on your altar. So, it may appear to be broken when it is actually just being slow.

Since the guide is a for beginners, I'd leave out the details of a witch farm. Let them discover the various ways to set this up on their own.

When in doubt, ugly 9x9's with cobblestone aka, Direwolf houses. Later on, switch to nice stone and decorations. Build a moat...few towers....

I have had to repair my 'room' a couple times, gradually replacing stone with obsidian. But, I've only dabbled in Ars Magica for a couple utility spells.

I /think/ the autonomous activator from TE3 registers as a fake player, QuarryPlus will as well I believe and act as a chunkloader at the same time. Another idea....small room with cursed earth...free mob spawner :)

And NEI has some of the recipes as well.

Haven't seen MPS yet, but, no one on my server has gotten into it juuust yet. A zombie iron-man would definitely make me reconsider some life choices however, I'll keep my eyes out for it. Hoff already explained this, It's Factorization that's doing it...

Nope, Not using it. Running straight Monster modpack. And I was pleasantly surprised, free filled sockets and goodies. Does Rogue Like Dungeons modify gear on mobs? Edit: Thinking about it, I'll check when I get home but I think that the armor with filled slots that I looted from those mobs...

Yup, I've killed probably half a dozen zombies and skellies in the overworld while they were wearing full blood armor. On top of that, twice they've dropped armor pieces that I then unbound. One was a pair of legs with the air sigil and a master orb, the second was boots with lava this time...
