Well, theoretically, if your motherboard has PAE functionality, you can install more than 4GB, but that isn't very common in older motherboards. Because you're running Windows, you'll only be able to realistically allocate 1.5GB of ram to your server, so you might have load issues if you have...

Its corruption, due to those chunks being loaded into the server memory when you backed up, you'll just have to cross your fingers and hope that one of them happened to backup when those chunks weren't loaded.

If I were you, I'd download UBCD and run some of the diagnostic tools they have on there, specifically Memtest and MHDD.

That second error message shouldn't be anything to worry about, it happens to my client when it starts up with no issues. The first one shouldn't be an issue as long as your client runs fine and is able to properly use forestry stuff.

That is your problem there, you should be using the Redstone Conductance Coil instead. They are very similar in appearance but perform different actions.

You could test each one individually by opening in MCEdit or similar program, that would likely load the map faster than your server would to test the backups.

Kinda dumb to ask, but if you're playing on a server, did you change the server config too?

The config variable should have only changed the action taken when the filler spits out items, I don't believe there is any way to directly change the direction in which it clears from.
