Things to do in my pack?

That's one I heard about recently that I may try though all I really know about it is the 5 pipes in one block thing.

Things to do in my pack?

The way I typically play the closest thing I have to energy storage is steam in a steel Railcraft tank.

Things to do in my pack?

I'm not sure what that is. Quantum energy as in lots'o energy?

Things to do in my pack?

I enjoyed RotaryCraft the one time I tried it (really laggy for me, though...) but the machines are too shiny IMHO for a Steampunk pack. Good call, I think, on Resonant Induction based on the one 10-minute BevoLJ video I saw. I mean... Tesla Coils... Hello...

Things to do in my pack?

I watched a video on Resonant Induction last night and it looks really cool. Something I really need to try out.

    Rotarycraft Distillery

Fermenter makes Biomass and Still (or BC Refinery, but at a lesser rate) makes Biofuel or Ethanol or whatever they're calling it.

Things to do in my pack?

I think RotaryCraft looks and feels a lot more low tech than Thermal Expansion, honestly. I usually play with just BC, Railcraft and Forestry as my tech mods and Forestry (though a great mod) I really use mostly for the Carpenter as it makes the Railcraft creosote recipes so much simpler. Is...

    Transport liquids without chunk loaders?

I'd probably do it with a bunch of linked tank carts with myself riding shotgun. Not automated but you could move a lot of liquids, every now and then, pretty painlessly. It's what I do on my ssp worlds (from oil depots) until I have enough diamonds and ender pearls for all the chunk loading I...

    (1.6.4) Which minimap?

Yup. I only use Opis. I've never used radar anyway as... Well, obvious reasons. I like having a huge map I can scroll around and that's all I really want. With the new map functionality in 1.7.2 I doubt I'll use even that once I start a 1.7.2 world.

What marks a mod/item as "OP" or "Unbalanced"?

Yeah, I'd be pretty surprised to find out that I suggested that playing Creative mode would give one creativity.

What marks a mod/item as "OP" or "Unbalanced"?

Well, I'm completely on board with playing it however you want. My little brother only plays in Creative apparently, as relax time. To each his own. I'm un-diagnosed but MUST have ADD. Tedium puts me into a blissful, Zen state.

What marks a mod/item as "OP" or "Unbalanced"?

As you should. So do I. This is the sorta answer I expected when I asked why you don't play creative mode. Because it seemed an appropriate followup question to "With a nearly infinite world, and given nearly infinite time, there is infinite stuff. Just having a mod that lets you cut to the...

What marks a mod/item as "OP" or "Unbalanced"?

No I didn't... I asked you why you don't simply play in creative mode.

What marks a mod/item as "OP" or "Unbalanced"?

Does it? I've only ever used it to figure out how different blocks look near each other or how machines work.

What marks a mod/item as "OP" or "Unbalanced"?

That's my point. There is an entire mode of gameplay designed for those who want to be able to build away without the tedium of gathering the resources.

What marks a mod/item as "OP" or "Unbalanced"?

So why not just play Creative mode?
  17. D

    Your favorite mod, and why?

Same. Not even close. I like the look, feel and sound of carts, all of the multiblock structures, the look of the various decorative blocks, the sounds of the rock crusher (for example), I really just like it all. And I really like the fact that you have to think about things ahead of time...

    Branch mining is op.

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

On #1 I use a little mod called SoundControl (I think... At work now) that allows me to adjust or mute any sound in the game. Works like a charm even if I only typically use it for villagers and chickens. Works for mod sounds, too, I believe.

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

The floodgate, either BC or Railcraft, does.
