Fully. The only part I'm having trouble with is getting the liquids into the tank. I think I can also put it into a smeltery, but I'd rather not risk making alloys.

I restarted my AS world, and I recently found out something: If you have a good mob farm and a carrot farm (probably other farms too, but I'm using carrots) you're basically set for early game. Or at least until you get an igneous extruder/automated farming. Composting carrots is in my opinion...

You're just unlucky. I've gotten 3 emeralds from a stack of gravel in the past.

If you mean they won't compost, make sure the barrel is completely full. If you're running out of things to compost, make a vanilla-style mob farm. Rotten Flesh makes great composting material.

Does anyone have any suggestions for early power gen?

Also, is there any way to get Mycelium to spread faster? I put one at the edge of a 5x5 chunk of dirt, and it's not spreading.

Oddly enough, I find making grout easier on Agrarian Skies than in normal modded survival. (I was hesitant to post this, in fear that jadedcat would see it and go "Oh! There's something I need to fix!")

I don't believe the Wither can break blocks if it's in a minecart. EDIT: Other than by shooting Wither Skulls, anyway. Also, Withers sitting in Minecarts make excellent sentries :P
