ultimate pack hasn't been released yet, it'll have all the ftb mods in it. The mindcrack pack is only the mods on the mindcrack server.

Not sure if it would fix server lag...are you connecting to the server, or hosting it? also, what are you getting for lag? I was just getting framerate drop and stuttering but if you're getting block lag that's probably a different issue.
