Blueberry quest: had the same issue, had to /hqm edit around it. X doesn't melt in smeltery, drains lava: they say you need pyrotheum for that. Most of the time a magma crucible works better. Glowstone: thaumcraft has a few options for creating it, not to mention powered witch spawners.

Tooltip in nei suggests it is possible to make a broken villager spawner. It isn't (won't fit in the soul binder). Intentional?

In the industrial line, one quest asks for 100 mb of lava. As it mentions the magma crucible I imagine it was meant to be 100 buckets? Also: in the thaumometer quest, weakness potions don't clear. had to hqm edit it. Aside: find it kinda weird that my best source of gold is currently copper...

I believe that is done with a thaumcraft focus, not sure of the name.

Apples, especially dried ones. Fish are pretty easy to get early on, and can make several other foods. Bone stew is good if you have no crops for bonemeal yet.

"/hqm edit" gives a cheaty book that can complete broken quests.

The popular method seems to be rushing the ender io enchanter to make fortune books. Only hammers I know of that can't enchant normally are tinkers, which don't work on meteors anyway. (Though iirc you can get fortune on them with lapis)
