    Yes, it now works! I didn't think it was that easy. Is there a reason this happens? Is there a way to prevent this from happening in the future?

    I've tried upping the ram to 5gb and still comes back with the same result. The game opens and I see the "Mojang" white screen but then it closes down and never actually gets to the main screen. I've posted a new log: https://paste.feed-the-beast.com/view/bcde7bde
