I would recommend 2 minutes, I'm with @Delerium on this one, it seems like a pretty big overkill, even if it's increasing your ore amount x4

Woah dude calm down. Just wait out the first night, try do a few quests, and wait till the next day. It's what I did and it worked fine. You don't HAVE to have you trees inside.

Your dayblooms, nightshades and hydrangeas will all wilt after 4 minecraft days. I recommend using endoflames and gourmalillys as they are bother working for me rather well.

How to I store rf energy? Do I just use the ae cells or mekanism ones or..? And what's the best way to transfer power? The books gives ways to create rf via the generators, yet it doesn't tell you how to store it.. Maybe something to add @karmarcharger ?

This is my cobble gen set up :D two boilers, smashers, Archimedes screws, an infinite water source, a hopper and a chest or two and tada you have cobble gen! I added the sound muffler as it get really noisy and I can hear it like 30 blocks away which becomes extremely annoying.
