    Ya i know it just takes some of the intensity out of it and also cobblestone used to be fairly creeper proof but i think they changed that. I know xycraft made an explosion proof block and obsidian is also blast proof. So it's not really an issue after you start building a better base.

    Ya i get tired of 9x9's and other block houses they tend to get annoying after while. That being said my starter house is usually a block house while i'm building a much nicer place or a hole in a mountain.
