    I've actually been playing on and off, but kept minecraft minimized at times when not playing. Perhaps that's why it didn't prompt me. So how would one go about restoring to a previous version?

    Thank you for that link. unfortunately it didn't help. The world save file is still not showing up. I was using which ever version was prior to v1.0.10 . I wasjust prompted to update it this morning.
