    Look in Installed Programs in the Control Panel. If you have Java 1.7.0 installed, remove it. Seems having 1.7.0 installed even though you run with 1.7.0_45 causes problems. See http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/ftb-launcher-crash.35990/

    Same issue for me. Got the option to update the launcher, which I did. Then the error as posted by OP.
