Alright, original fix worked on my world resetting problem, one final thing. Is there anyway to get back my items? My inventory reset to just having the TC starter book.. Edit: I know I can use NEI in cheat mode for the basic stuff, but that won't help me for Ars Magica spells.

What exact files are you talking about? I've been looking into using NBTExplorer to edit a replacement level.dat, but are there any other files I should worry about? It also seems that I'm missing the level.dat_old in the save folder, is that required.
